Many perform several buddhist rituals when they come to the temple to pay homage to the Buddhas. Buddhists may chant, pray, meditate, eat vegetarian meals, and celebrate Buddhist holidays, such as the Buddha’s Birthday and other Enlightenment dates of the Bhutan/Tibetan lunar calendar.

Divinations (Mo)

Bhutan Buddhism is endowed with predictive methods (Mo) based on the power and wisdom of the teachings of the Buddha. Even today, before taking important decisions or during periods of life transition Bhutans use these methods of divination. The power of these buddhist divinations is dependent on the meditational deity with which they are connected (Manjushri, Tara, Vajrapani, Paldhen Lhamo, the Five Dakinis, and more).

Any questions may be asked (usually associated to yes or no answers). After which Khentrul Dorje Thokmeth Rinpoche would offer a prognosis in which; pujas, prayer, or practices may be recommended in order to create a favorable outcome or resolve the problem at hand.
Time: about 30 mn, in the early morning.
Minimum suggested donation: USD15/one event

Buddhist Rituals and Prayers (Pujas)

Khentrul Dorje Thokmeth Rinpoche and his monks can perform the following pujas:

  • Medicine Buddha : health and healing.
  • Cittamani Tara : fulfilling wishes.
  • Purification : removing obstacles or negative karma.
  • Other prayers may be considered upon requested.

Prayers for the Dead

Khentrul Dorje Thokmeth Rinpoche and his monks & nuns will do prayer service for those who have died in the last 49 days. Prayers for the dead, for those who died in order to receiving a higher rebirth.

Hospice Services

Hospice means providing emotional support and companionship for those facing life threatening illnesses. The following hospices assist the terminally ill and their families through loving kindness and qualified health care.
Time: about 1 hours.
Minimum suggested donation:USD150/per monk   USD400/Rinpoche

Sutra recitations

Traditionally in Bhuta/Tibet and also these days people invite monks to their house to eliminate obstacles and to accumulate virtuous karma, in order to get positive karma results.
Time: 1 ~ 3 days / 1 week / 1 month
Minimum suggested donation: USD 1,500 (plus food and lodging).

House and Workplace Blessing

Khentrul Dorje Thokmeth Rinpoche’s and his monks will be available for private home and business blessing pujas to eliminate obstacles and bring posperity upon request.
